The new sixth generation BMW 7 series has just gone on sale in Ireland. Available in short and long wheel base, the 7 series is now available with AWD for the first time. The 7 series is the flagship of the BMW range, prices start at  €96,880 for the entry level 730d,  while the 730d xDrive AWD is listed at €101,910, and the 750i at €136,630.

The new 7 series is the first BMW to use BMW’s new ‘carbon core’ structure where carbon fibre is used in strategic areas of the passenger cell. This makes the car both stronger than its predecessor and lighter by 130kg.

 A 326hp plug-in hybrid variant will come in 2016, joining the new petrol and diesel powertrains already available.
